My photos from Lido Beach, including sunsets and kids playing along the water.
Lido Beach is located on Lido Key in north Sarasota, accessed via the Ringling Causeway and St. Armand's Circle. While not as wide or white as Siesta Beach, Lido is a long and curving beach with nature trails to the north and a rock pile at the south end. There's also a public swimming pool, restrooms, and shops at the main parking area, about a half mile down the road.
There are many access points, starting with a small parking lot at the very north of the key, right off the Circle. Parallel parking is available along the shoreline, until you reach the main beach complex and parking lot.

Also on Lido Key, you can find South Lido Beach and South Lido Nature Park. South Lido Beach is situated at Big Pass, with the Gulf of Mexico on one side and Sarasota Bay on the other. It has a large, shaded picnic area, popular for grill-outs, and a playground. The view of Big Pass can be impressive at sunset.
South Lido Nature park is the launching point into the bay and some unique and spectacular mangrove paddling trails
